Birgunj, July 30: In response to the evolving security situation and recent protests taking place in different parts of the country, the District Administration Office (DAO), Parsa, has issued a public appeal urging residents to maintain peace, harmony, and social unity.
The appeal, signed by Chief District Officer Bhola Dahal, emphasizes that Parsa has long been recognized as a district where people of different religions, cultures, and communities have lived together with mutual respect. The administration has called upon citizens to preserve this tradition of communal harmony during the current sensitive period.
The DAO has requested the public to strictly follow the prohibitory orders already in force and avoid unnecessary movement, gatherings, demonstrations, or rallies in restricted areas. Citizens have also been urged not to spread or share rumours, inflammatory messages, photos, or videos through social media platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, warning that legal action will be taken against those attempting to disturb public peace.
The administration further appealed to people to resolve disagreements through lawful and peaceful means rather than taking the law into their own hands or damaging public property. It also called on residents to cooperate with security agencies by immediately reporting any suspicious activities or attempts to create unrest.
Concluding the appeal, the District Administration Office stressed that unity in diversity is Parsa’s greatest strength and encouraged all citizens to demonstrate responsibility, patience, and cooperation to maintain lasting peace and social harmony throughout the district.
